A 45-year-old man has denied endangering plane passengers by flashing a laser pen at aircraft over Kent.

He was arrested at his home in Halfway Road, Halfway, on January 30, the day of the alleged offences.

He now faces four charges of recklessly or negligently acting in a manner likely to endanger an aircraft or its passengers.

Appearing at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court, he pleaded not guilty on all counts and the case was transferred to the crown court for June 17.

He was bailed with a condition not to be in possession of a laser pen.
