Man dies in Sheerness after being found collapsed near seafront in Marine Parade

A man has died after he was found collapsed in Sheerness this morning.

Emergency services were called to Marine Parade, near the yacht club, to reports a man was not breathing at about 9.50am.

Two ambulances and a paramedic car were called to the scene.

A bystander said the man was on the promenade and police had stopped people from walking along the seafront.

A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said despite the best efforts of medical staff, the man - believed to be in his 60s - was pronounced dead at the scene.
