Black smoke coming from motorbike on fire near Sheppey Crossing prompts call out by firefighters

Firefighters were called to a motorbike on fire near the Sheppey Crossing today.

Plumes of thick black smoke could be seen rising into the air from the blaze on Sheppey Way, which was reportedly coming from the section which goes underneath the bridge.

Reports first came in at 12.55pm.

No one was reported injured.
