Oasis Academy Isle of Sheppey head makes move permanent having fulfilled promise to Oasis Academy Coulsdon, in Surrey

The head of Oasis Academy Isle of Sheppey has become permanently based there after leaving his other leadership role at a school in Surrey.

Executive principal David Millar started working on the Island in September.

He was also in charge at Oasis Academy Coulsdon and split his time between the two.

In October he said he planned to leave Coulsdon but wanted to keep in touch because he made a promise to its community to see the project through.

In a message sent out to parents Mr Millar said: “Conscious that there is still much to do at Oasis Academy Isle of Sheppey to improve the learning diet the children receive, their learning environment and their overall life chances, and knowing that the senior team at Coulsdon is robust and well established, I have made the necessary, heartfelt and right decision to permanently base myself at Sheppey from this term onwards.”
