Police seek more witnesses to Talk of the Town pub stabbing in Leysdown

Police have made a fresh appeal for help in tracking down the men involved in a brawl at the Talk of the Town pub at Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppey.

Despite talking to many customers at the scene, officers have still to make any arrests.

Two men were taken to a London hospital after being stabbed by a broken pool cue in the fight on Saturday April 8. Both were later discharged. Two others received cuts to the face but did not need hospital treatment.

Officers were called to an "altercation" inside seafront pub just after 9pm. The fight then moved outside onto the seawall where two men ended up with stab wounds from a broken pool cue. Glass bottles were also thrown in the fight at the packed pub.

A police spokesman said today: "At present no arrests have been made but work is ongoing to identify the suspects responsible.

"Officers would like to thank those witnesses who have already come forward with information about the incident.

"If there is anyone who has information about the assaults but has not yet spoken to police, we would like to hear from them."
