The trailer for a short film made in Leysdown has been released and its makers could be looking for more Sheppey talent.

Eavesdrop Films has put together a 45-second teaser for Pleasure Beach, which featured extras from the area and was shot in January.

It tells the tale of Danny, a shy teenager in a seaside town who hopes to lose his virginity along with his Romanian immigrant friend Andrei.

It is hoped the film will be submitted to festivals by the start of June and there are plans to hold a private premiere for all the people on the Island involved.

The company’s next film will be called Estelle – a horror about a sinister woman who kidnaps a man and drains his blood. Producer Nicki Perkins did not rule out a return to Sheppey and getting more locals in front of the camera.

She said: “We are considering it because of the fact we had a really good time down there.”
