Coining it in at Halfway Houses Primary School's Queen commemoration

Children at Halfway Houses Primary School were excited to find out they would be presented with commemorative coins.

The memorabilia was given to pupils to mark the Queen becoming the longest-reigning monarch in British history.

Teachers were also given coins to celebrate Her Majesty celebrating her record-breaking 63 years on the throne.

When asked what the children thought of the presentation, teaching assistant Jo Edwards said: “They were very excited.“A presentation took place in the morning conducted by head teacher Ryan Driver. “It was a once in a lifetime opportunity.”
