Sheerness: West Minster Primary pupils flashed by man on way to school

A primary school has issued a warning after two of its pupils were flashed by a man as they made their way to school.

The West Minster Primary School girls were walking to the St George’s Avenue site along a towpath near Medway Road, Sheerness, around 8.30am today, when a "suspicious" man exposed himself to them through a hole in his jogging bottoms.

The school has since sent out a message to parents and carers to warn other children. It also announced that patrols would be stepped up in the area.

The message read: “There has been an incident near to West Minster Primary School at approximately 8.30am this morning.

“A suspicious male approached two female pupils. Police are investigating and patrols will be in the area this afternoon and tomorrow morning.

“If your child is in Year 6 and walks home alone please be aware."

The school also confirmed the girls' parents had been informed.

The man is described as white, between 30 and 40 years old, 5ft 11in, of medium build, with short brown hair and a goatee beard.

He was wearing grey jogging bottoms and a dark coloured jumper.
