Fall in Sheerness High Street leads to woman being taken to Medway Maritime Hospital

A woman who fell in Sheerness this afternoon was taken to hospital.

Paramedics were called to the High Street, outside Greggs the bakers, at 1.10pm.

The pedestrian, thought to be about 50, was treated at the scene for about 45 minutes.

She was then taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said she had suffered a head injury and was taken for further checks.

Her condition was not thought to be life-threatening.
