Sheppey Pirates invading Barton's Point Coastal Park, Sheerness, for fun weekend

Sheppey Pirates will be aiming to maintain their record of never being repelled from the Island’s shores during their annual invasion.

A weekend of fun at Barton’s Point Coastal Park, off Marine Parade, Sheerness, starts on Saturday from 11am with living like a pirate which includes activities such as musket ball making, sword fighting, kids’ pirate chase and adult and children’s fancy dress as well as musket and cannon demonstrations.

In the evening guests will be invited to party like a pirate with live music from Tom Mason, TomMikePaul, Shameful Behaviour, Signals Red, and Stoned from 5.25pm.

On Sunday, the infamous pirate landing will take place at 1pm where children are invited to come armed with water bombs to try to keep back the invasion.

There will also be water jousting, a tug-of-war and more explosive demonstrations.
