Aaron Griffith and Hollie Beer win Good Morning Britain competition to visit Disney World, Florida

A couple are mixing it with Mickey and Minnie Mouse as a result of winning an all-expenses TV holiday to Florida.

Aaron Griffith, 23, and Hollie Beer , 25, were among 100 viewers selected for the week-long trip to Disney World in an email contest, Breakfast In America, run by Good Morning Britain.

Sean Fletcher, a presenter on the ITV breakfast programme, is accompanying the lucky entrants who were due to appear in a live slot on Monday’s show from Gatwick Airport before jetting-off to Orlando.

In a happy coincidence, the Islanders, of Granville Road, Sheerness, were due to fly out on Hollie’s birthday.

Speaking before the trip, Sean, who works at Aesica in Queenborough, said: “None of this feels real.

“Five weeks ago we got an email to say we’d been short-listed, then three weeks ago I came home from work and Hollie told me we’d been chosen.

“You enter these TV competitions, but you never expect to win.”

Aaron and Hollie, who have been engaged for two years and have a nine-month-old daughter,

Scarlett-Rose, will be staying at the Universal hotel based at the theme park.

“It’ll be our first holiday together,” Aaron said. “I’ve been to Disney World once before when I was 15 and I’m just as excited about going now as I was then.

“It’ll be great spending time together with Hollie, enjoying the weather while Britain suffers in the cold and rain.”

The prospect of rubbing shoulders with some of Disney’s finest appears to have reintroduced Aaron to his former child-like self.

“Hollies’s a Minnie Mouse fan, but I much prefer the Minions,” he said.
