Police were called after a number of washing machine drums fell from a lorry.
A lorry lost its load near the Kingsferry Bridge on the old Sheppey Way at 1.15pm.
It has happened on the section heading off the Island.
The Kent Police Swale team tweeted to advise motorists to approach the area with caution.
Kent Highways has been contacted to clear the debris.

A police spokesman said: "Some washing machine drums have been scattered about, but there are no obstructions on the road."
