Water supply to homes in Minster, Sheppey, interrupted due to burst main

A number of homes on Sheppey were left without water after a main burst.

Southern Water engineers were called to Harps Avenue, Minster, at about 12.15pm.

A Southern Water spokesman said the crew had to cut out the damaged section of pipe as part of the repair works.

This meant the water supply to around 20 properties had to be turned off.

He added: "We apologise to our affected customers for any inconvenience this caused and thank them for their patience while we worked to fix the issue."

The water company said the main was fixed and water was restored to all homes at 3.15pm.
