A woman has described the moment she was allegedly attacked by a man wielding a baseball bat.

The victim, who does not wish to be named, was at her home in Sheppey Beach Villas, Manor Way, Leysdown, on Sunday night when she heard loud thumping noises coming from an upstairs property.

She left her house to call up to the flat, which had its balcony doors and windows open.

But she says she was then met by a man she did not recognise who was armed with a bat and angrily approached her on the front lawn of the row of houses.

She said: “I wanted to say, ‘can you calm the noise down?’ It was getting silly.

“But I walked into something angry.”

The woman says she managed to wrestle the bat out of his hands, although she suffered injuries to her arm, as well as scratching and swelling around her eyes.
