Delays built in Bapchild near Sittingbourne this afternoon when a man was trapped in his car after a crash.

The smash happened in London Road, near the junction of Hempstead Lane junction, at about 3.40pm.

The car ended up on its side and firefighters were called to try to release the driver.

Crews from Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance service were also at the scene.

No other vehicle was involved in the crash, which has been causing long tailbacks for motorists in the area.
