Sittingbourne men Samuel King and Ryan Faulkner due in court over theft allegations

Two Sittingbourne men have been charged as part of a police crackdown on burglary and motor vehicle crime.

Samuel King, 23, of Oak Road, Murston, appeared before Maidstone Magistrates’ Court yesterday and will re-appear there on September 9.

He is charged with the theft of a paying-in book from a motor vehicle and the attempted theft of a catalytic converter.

The alleged incident happened in Wadham Place, Sittingbourne, on May 24.

Ryan Faulkner, 19, of Honeysuckle Court, Murston, has been charged with the same offences and is due to appear at the same court on July 2. Both men are currently on bail.

Over the past seven months, we have been reporting on the number of burglaries and attempted break-ins in and around Sittingbourne.

Electricity cable was stolen from the grounds of Fulston Manor School, Brenchley Road, Sittingbourne, sometime after 10.30pm on Tuesday, May 4 – XY/017092/13.

A number of items were stolen from a property in London Road, Sittingbourne, between 12.25pm and 12.40pm on Tuesday, June 4 – XY/016972/13.

Frozen meat joints and several other items taken from a garage at a property in Laxton Way, Milton Regis, between May 29 and May 31 – XY/016888/13.

A Claude Butler bicycle was stolen from a garden shed in Albion Terrace, Brewery Road, Milton Regis, on June 6 – XY/017156/13.

A shed was damaged in Park Road, Sittingbourne, during an attempted burglary. This happened between 1pm and 3pm on Tuesday, June 4 – XY/017088/13.

A burglary occurred in Britannia Close, Milton Regis, between June 1 and June 9 – XY/017526/13.
