Armed police warned residents to stay inside after a man was allegedly spotted with a gun.
On Saturday, July 29, officers with guns surrounded a house in Mountview, Borden, at around 3pm.
According to a witness, residents were told not to leave their homes and to shut all doors and windows.
They spent around two hours there and no one was allowed to enter or leave the road.
A police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 2.54pm to a report of a man who was thought to be in possession of a firearm.
“Armed officers attended the scene as a precaution.”
A 27-year-old man from Borden was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and has since been released without charge.
