Police have released this CCTV image of a man they want to question about an armed robbery on Tuesday.

A man, who was thought to be carrying a gun, entered the ATM area of Asda supermarket at Trinity Trading Estate, Sittingbourne, at about 10.40am and demanded money from two security guards.

He then drove off in a silver Rover 400, which was later found in the area of Kingsmill Close.

No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as in his mid 40’s, white, with a black moustache and beard. He was wearing a motorcycle helmet with a white stripe, dark trousers, a pale blue shirt with white collar and cuffs and a blue sleeveless fleece.

Det Ch Insp Nick Gossett appealed for witnesses of the incident or of the car being abandoned. He added: "We strongly advise the public not to approach the man as we believe he may still be armed."
