There are long delays on the A249 this afternoon after a crash involving a car and a lorry.

The accident has happened on the Maidstone-bound carriageway, approaching the Stockbury Roundabout.

Traffic is queuing back to the Bobbing exit (B2006/Sheppey Way).

Police and ambulance crews were called shortly before 2.30pm.

Drivers are being advised to approach the area with caution and are told to expect delays.

Highways officials says there are delays of up to 20 minutes in the area.
