Police are inviting people who have had jewellery stolen from them to view recovered items at a Kent police station.

Officers in Mid Kent have recovered more than100 stolen items from pawn shops, and over half has been claimed since an exhibition was held by police on April 5.

Items that remain unclaimed include earrings, gold rings and necklaces and a watch, all of which are being kept at Sittingbourne Police Station.

Detective Constable Mark Whewell-Jones said: “We are keen for the remaining owners to come forward with receipts or photographic evidence that proves ownership of the items on display.

“Clearly we want to make sure the right items are matched up with the right people.”

Anyone in Mid Kent who has had jewellery taken between December 2007 and February of this year are asked to attend Sittingbourne Police Station and report to the front counter or call Detective Constable Mark Whewell-Jones on 01795 419238.
