Barn on fire off Grovehurst Road, Kemsley

Two large 'portable storage buildings' caught fire on what is thought to be farmland in Kemsley.

It filled the sky with huge plumes of thick black smoke that could be seen as far away as Sheppey.

Three fire engines were sent to the scene, just after 5pm, and police diverted traffic to ensure the safety of motorists.
