A 23-year-old has been charged with assault after a man was taken to hospital with facial injuries.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Quartz Way, Sittingbourne at about 6.45pm on Friday.

The victim was taken to hospital but had not suffered life-threatening injuries, a police spokesman said.

On Monday, Lenny Lee, of Quinton Road, Sittingbourne was arrested and charged.

He has been released on bail and is due to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 19.
