Lanes now reopened on Junction 5 on the M2 after collision

All lanes on the M2 have now been reopened after a collision.

The accident, which happened on the coastbound carriageway at junction 5 turn-off for Sittingbourne/Stockbury roundabout, blocked lane two of the motorway.

All traffic was temporarily held as emergency services attended the scene.

The vehicles have now been moved to the hard shoulder, only one minor injury has been reported.

A police spokesman said: "Police were called to the coastbound carriageway of junction 5 of the M2 at 5.13pm on Monday, 14 May 2018 following a report of a collision.

"One minor injured was reported and SECAMB were in attendance.

"The vehicles have been moved to the hard shoulder."
