Neglected dog saved from streets in Milton Regis by Swale council warden

A dog in need of urgent medical attention was found abandoned in Milton Regis High Street last week.

The female cross-breed terrier was discovered on Thursday and has since been named Milly.

The dog was in a very neglected condition and was suffering from a chronic skin condition.

She was treated by Borden Lane Vets and is now being looked after at KareBear kennels in Gillingham.

Tim Oxley, Swale council’s dog warden, said: “It is appalling how anyone can let their pet get into this sort of condition."

“We can only guess how much suffering this has caused her.”

Mr Oxley said she was a lovely dog and, with time and lots of care, she should make a good recovery.
