Police and ambulance crews in Quartz Way, Sittingbourne, near Jenny Wren pub after man suffers facial injuries

A man has been taken to hospital with facial injuries after an "incident" in Sittingbourne.

Police say they were called to Quartz Way this evening, but officers are still trying to establish how the man was hurt.

Police and ambulance crews were seen near the Jenny Wren pub in Staplehurst Road.

The man's injuries are not thought to be serious.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police received a report of an incident in which a man sustained facial injuries in Quartz Way, Sittingbourne at 6.44pm on Friday 2 October.

"Officers are attending the scene and carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances.

"The man's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and he is being taken to a local hospital."
