Kent Police helicopter and dogs search for driver after Borden crash

Police are hunting a driver who fled the scene of a three-car smash last night.

A helicopter was scrambled and a canine search unit was spotted in the area around Mountview, Borden, at 8pm to look for the occupants of a silver Peugeot.

But after an extensive search around the village near Sittingbourne, no one was located.

Paramedics also attended the incident and reportedly treated two people for minor injuries.

A police spokesman said: "Officers attended the scene. We conducted a search of the local area and inquiries are ongoing."
