A man has died in a crash on the M2.

The 27-year-old from Orpington died at the scene of the accident, which happened between junctions six and five near Faversham just after 11pm last night.

It involved a silver coloured BMW 530, which is thought to have left the carriageway.

The M2 was closed for more than seven hours to allow police to carry out an investigation.

Diversions were in place until around 7am.
