Ridham Dock, Iwade, is targeted by thieves stealing metal

A lorry load of steel reinforcing bars belonging to Thames Reinforcements Ltd was stolen from Ridham Dock in Iwade.

It happened at 6pm on November 6. A green and white Scania lorry was involved in the theft. Reference number XY/039275/14.

For the last 24 months, more than 750 burglaries and attempted break-ins have been brought to the attention of this paper. The latest incidents are as follows:

Opal jewellery taken from a property in Borden Lane, Borden, between 10am and 1pm on November 6 – XY/039278/14.

Between November 6-7, a Malice 338290 BMX bike with white handlebars and pedals was taken from a communal area in Amethyst Drive, Sonora Fields – XY/039562/14.

A window was broken during a burglary in Bobbing Hill, Bobbing, between 6am and 6pm on November 3 –XY/038993/14.

Nothing was stolen during an attempted burglary of a garage in Blue Town, Milstead. It happened between November 1-5 –XY/039527/14.

Two bicycles and a metal detector were stolen from a domestic garage in Merleburgh Drive, Kemsley, between November 2-5 – XY/039291/14.

A Bolinas Ridge cycle was stolen from a garden shed in Amethyst Drive, Sonora Fields, between October 31 and November 3 – XY/038905/14.

Between November 5-6, a socket set was stolen from a woodyard in Lade Wood, Milstead – XY/039226/14.

A red quad bike and a chainsaw taken from a domestic garage in Lower Hartlip Road, Hartlip, between 4.30pm and 5pm on November 5 – XY/039255/14.
