Stolen guitar appeal

By Hayley Robinson

A musician is hoping our readers will help reunite him with his stolen guitar.

Dave Corcoran, from Strood, who plays with the band OGWA, believes the Epiphone Gibson Les Paul classic, was stolen from his van after a gig.

He had left the vehicle parked at the front of The Fountain pub, Station Street, Sittingbourne, between 11.30pm and midnight on Friday, February 5 while he popped back into the pub to check no equipment had been left behind.

The theft was only discovered when Mr Corcoran unloaded his van on the gated driveway of his home the following day.

Police are investigating the incident and a Facebook group has been set up in a bid to find the much-loved guitar.

Mr Corcoran said: "It’s a vintage sunburst brown with a flame finish and it has a lighter brown in the centre and darker brown around the edges.

"I’ve had it about three years and it’s sentimental to me because guitars are like tools, you adjust to them, to how they play and you bond with them.

"It’s probably worth about £700 in all."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 01795 419339 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
