Officers investigating an alleged hit and run in Bapchild that left a teenage motorcyclist with serious injuries have arrested a man.
The biker will need months of rehabilitation after breaking his pelvis in the crash on the A2 London Road in Bapchild.
It happened near the junction with Hempstead Lane just after 5pm on Monday, and police issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward.
They have since arrested a 29-year-old man from Gravesend on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.
It is believed the victim's motorcycle collided with a vehicle, which allegedly fled in the direction of Tonge.
The suspect has been bailed until Thursday, April 16 pending further enquiries.
