Kent Police arrest three burglary suspects in Sonora Fields, Sittingbourne

Police arrested two teenagers and a man after searching a quiet cul-de-sac early Saturday morning.

Officers were called at just after 5am to reports of a burglary in progress in Middletune Avenue, Milton Regis.

On arrival, the three suspects had fled and patrols combed the area looking for them.

Two of them, aged 17 and 19, both from Chatham, were located just under a mile away in Amethyst Drive, Sonora Fields.

A third suspect, 21, who is also from Chatham, was arrested in Fire Opal Way, which is also on the estate.

According to people living nearby, officers could be seen using torches to search the quiet residential area.

A police spokesman said: "The three males were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

"All three have been bailed until March 25 while inquiries continue."
