A 23-year-old man has been charged after a teenager was killed in a crash while riding his bike.

Kyle Coen from Sittingbourne was just 14 when he died when he was hit while out on his push bike in Bapchild on July 30 this year.

Now Robert Lawrence, of Barrow Green, Teynham, is due before magistrates, charged with failing to stop after an accident and perverting the course of justice after the crash on the A2 London Road near Bapchild Cricket Club.

He is due to appear before Medway magistrates on January 17 next year.
