A woman was rushed to hospital this morning after she collapsed in the middle of the street.

Emergency services treated her at the scene on North Street, near Milton Regis High Street at around 8.50am.

It is believed the woman, who is thought to be in her 40s, suffered a fit before falling and hitting her head on the pavement.

An ambulance spokesperson said: “She was taken to Medway Maritime as a priority. She still had a reduced level of consciousness when we left the scene with her.”
