Sittingbourne are out to upset Merstham for the second time this season.

Brickies have already beaten the Bostik Premier side 1-0 in the League Cup and on Saturday bid to dump them out of the FA Trophy.

They meet in the first qualifying round at Woodstock on Saturday, with £3,250 on offer to the winners.

Boss Nick Davis said: “Merstham won’t be far away from the side who played in the League Cup game.

“They had one or two missing that night but so did we. In fact, we had four missing that night who have been regulars.

“They’ve found their shooting boots - they beat Lowestoft 6-2 at the weekend - so they come here in a bit of form.

“We’re underdogs against a side from the league above and I’m looking forward to that.

“We’ve got nothing to lose and at home we feel we’ve got a chance against most sides.

“If we show the same energy levels we’ve had for most of the season then we’ve got a chance.”

Sittingbourne have a new right-back, signing Salvyn Kisitu from Folkestone.

He made his debut in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Chipstead and also featured in the stalemate with fellow Bostik South high-fliers Cray last night.

Davis said: “He played the first five or six games of the season for Folkestone and was on contract there, so he’s got some pedigree.

“He’s a unit, he’s fast and strong and can play right-back or left-back, so he gives us good options."

The Cray game turned ugly at the death when Brickies' Chris Elliott and Wands' Aaron Rhule were sent off.
