Sittingbourne will go into their biggest game in years with a keeper joint-manager Matt Wyatt has never seen play.

Either Sean Bazell or Jack Smelt will deputise for suspended Adam Molloy in the FA Cup third qualifying round tie at Skrill South Staines on Saturday.

The pair were due to train with Bourne on Tuesday. Joint-manager Nick Davis and the back-four will be consulted before a decision is made.

Wyatt said: “Sean is the No.2 keeper at Dulwich and Jack has been training at Welling after a year out, but has previously been with Margate and Ramsgate.

“To be honest, I’ve never seen them play but one of them will play on Saturday and it’s a great opportunity."

Bourne are major underdogs in their biggest game since taking Hereford to a replay at the same stage of the competition in 1997. Staines have won all five home games this season and are seventh in Skrill South, while Brickies play two levels down in Ryman League Division 1 South, sitting 20th.

Wyatt said: “It’s exciting, daunting and scary but we’re loving it. We also know that if things went our way, we could be on the verge of the biggest upset of the round.

Victory would earn Bourne £7,500 and leave them a win from the first round proper.
