Kent Kings claimed their record National League victory by beating Devon Demons 64-28 at Central Park on Monday night.

There were maximums for skipper Simon Lambert (15) and vice-captain David Mason (13+2) as Kings proved too strong for the league new boys.

Lambert’s move from No.1 to No.5 in the riding order led to his most dominant performance of the season, while Mason relished his partnership with youngster Luke Chessell (9+2) – the pair chalking up three one-twos.

All seven Kent riders recorded at least one paid victory, with Ben Morley (9+1), Aaron Baseby (9+1), Danny Ayres (5) and Luke Harris (4+2) completing Kings' tally.

Kent host Stoke Potters in the quarter-finals of the Knockout Cup next Monday (6.30pm).
