Man arrested over alley sex assault

A man has been arrested in connection with a
sexual assault on a schoolgirl.
The 22-year-old, from the Sittingbourne area, was arrested on
Wednesday and has been bailed until March 26 while enquiries
continue.
The 17-year-old was attacked at 5.20pm on Thursday, December 17,
along a footpath between Bell Road and Avenue of Remembrance next
to Sittingbourne cemetery.
She was walking towards Avenue of
Remembrance when a man approached her from behind and asked
her the time.
He then grabbed her and sexually
assaulted her before running off.

Police said officers are still appealing for any information about
the incident.
