Man rescued from vehicle on M2 near Sittingbourne as pile-up causes long delays
A man has been rescued from his vehicle after a pile-up on the M2 near Sittingbourne this afternoon.
Three vehicles were involved in the smash on the coast-bound carriageway near junction five for Sittingbourne and the Stockbury roundabout.
It happened at about 2.50pm and left the carriageway blocked, with tailbacks for four miles.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said crews used cutting equipment to free a man from his vehicle.
He then handed over to paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service.
Kent Police confirmed a Peugeot 206 and Land Rover Discovery were involved in the collision.
Two fire crews were at the scene until about 3.30pm and the road was fully reopened by 4pm - but delays were expected to continue.
The crash came as Kent's Christmas getaway began - with families expected to hit the road along with last-minute shoppers.
