A249 traffic chaos after accidents between Bobbing and Key Street
Two people have been taken to hospital following a series of accidents on and around the A249 outside of Sittingbourne this morning.
The first incident, between two cars, happened at 6.50am on the slip road at Bobbing with a woman taken to Medway Maritime Hospital suffering from shock and unspecified injuries.
Crews were also called to a second accident at 7.05am following a crash on the nearby Kemsley slip road near the Grovehurst roundabout. There were no reported injuries.

Then 15 minutes later, two separate crashes occurred on the Maidstone-bound carriageway on the flyover at Bobbing. One person was taken to Medway Maritime.
The road was closed between Bobbing and Key Street with heavy traffic experienced down to the Stockbury roundabout.
Motorists coming off the Island were also stuck in queues back onto the Sheppey Crossing.

Speaking earlier, a motorist travelling on the opposite side of the road said it looked like the second accident on the flyover might have happened as drivers tried to avoid the first one.
He said: "Both accidents look quite bad as there's cars pointing the wrong direction. I saw a policeman sweeping glass out of the road and two ambulances.
"They were trying to get to the scene but like everybody else, they were stuck in the gridlock, although people were trying to make way."
The road has re-opened but there are ongoing reports of congestion around the area.
