Woodstock Sports battling to keep their place in Kent Hurlimann League

by Craig Tucker
Bad weather has left Woodstock Sports facing a race against time
to keep their place in the Kent Hurlimann League.
Sports must install their new 150-seat stand in order to meet
ground grading requirements by March 31 or face being thrown out of
the league.
But contractors have been frustrated in their bid to get to work
and Sports chairman Maurice Dunk is getting anxious.
He said: "The stand has arrived and is sat in the car park but
the weather hasn’t been conducive to installing it.
"The grass has been too soft to transport the stand into place.
As things stand, we will be relegated if it isn’t done by March 31
and we are running out of time.
"We have an FA inspector coming on March 22 to check on our
progress and they expect to see it in place by then but I just
don’t know where we are. We’ve worked hard and done everything we
possibly could. It may be that I have to go to the FA and throw
myself at their mercy."
