Firefighters tackled kitchen fire in Rolvenden

Fire crews tackled a kitchen blaze last night after unattended food caught light.

Two pumps were called to the home in Sparks Wood Avenue, Rolvenden, at 6.24pm.

It is thought food left unattended under the grill caused the fire, which spread to the cooker and part of the kitchen work top.
