Firefighters attend caravan alight in Woodchurch, Ashford

Firefighters were called to a blaze in Woodchurch this afternoon after a caravan caught alight.

Crews were alerted to the incident in Redbrook Street just before 2.30pm.

The caravan was reported to have been dumped on the corner of the road about a week ago with rubbish inside.

The hedges alongside the caravan also caught alight.

Two crews - one from Ashford and one from Cranbook - attended the scene.

Crews managed to put the fire out around 3.30pm.

There have been no reports of any injuries.

The cause has not yet been identified.
