Pedestrian 'hit' by delivery lorry at Waitrose, Sayers Lane, Tenterden

A pedestrian was taken to hospital after reportedly being hit by a delivery lorry at Waitrose in Tenterden.

The accident happened at 7.15am yesterday in Sayers Lane.

Police and an ambulance attended.

A police spokesman said: “It was reported that a reversing lorry had collided with a pedestrian, who was later taken to a local hospital for treatment.

“Officers attended initially and have informed the Health and Safety Executive, which will lead any subsequent investigation.”
