Police are appealing for information after a dispute between neighbours led to several arrests.

Officers were called to Brockley Road in Cliftonville on Monday evening (August 26) after reports that a group of men had tried to get access to a house with a young family inside.

The man living in the house told officers that he had asked his neighbours to turn down their music on several occasions earlier that evening.

Some time later, he heard a knock on the door, and when he opened it several men tried to get past him into the house.

The man and two friends stopped them from entering and called the police.

When police arrived, they arrested three of the men who were alleged to have tried to get into the house, but they were later released without charge.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Kent Police or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
