The venue at 140 capacity made this gig all the more special as music lovers got to dance away next to their idol.

Andre Dack is the venue manager and says it was one of the most memorable nights in the music hall's history.

"He was his usual eccentric self on stage, very charismatic and pulling off all sorts of shapes too. He’s so entertaining to watch.

"The new music was fab and really varied. From disco numbers to long, progressive rock pieces. I was impressed.

"He’s arguably the best showman we’ve ever had here."

Pulp fans were not left disappointed as he performed His 'n' Hers for the encore.

Cocker also impressed with his Ramsgate knowledge quizzing the crowd and attracting laughs from the audience.

But the Britpop hero is no stranger to the isle having played a DJ set at Dreamland's dodgem track at By The Sea festival in 2016.

Deborah Ellis is a stylist and runs clothing business, Madam Popoff Vintage, she says the night was incredible and took the opportunity to get a photo.
