Fire crews tackle coach fire in Manston Road, Ramsgate

Firefighters tackled a blaze after a coach caught fire in Ramsgate last night.

The vehicle was being converted into a motorhome in Manston Road but was destroyed by the fire.

Fire crews were called to the scene at around 11.15pm last night.

They wore breathing apparatus to fight the fire, and used a high pressure hose reel and main jet.

Two fire engines were called out and crews wore breathing apparatus and thermal imaging cameras to bring the flames under control.

The blaze was extinguished just after 11.30pm and firefighters left the scene shortly after midnight.
