Margate: appeal after cyclist 'stabbed' in Addington Street

A man was injured in a drive-by stabbing in Margate in the early hours of this morning.

The victim, who is in his 20s, suffered a stab wound to his stomach in the attack in Addington Street shortly before 2am.

Police say a light-coloured car pulled up next to the man shortly before he was assaulted near the junction with King Street.

DI David Cox said: “The victim then cycled along Addington Street briefly before calling an ambulance.”

The man was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to the QEQM Hospital for treatment.

DI Cox said: “We would ask anyone who might have seen something which could help our investigation to call Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting 14-0076.”
