Margate: Joseph Hernandez, 21, admits to dangerous driving following a police pursuit

A man has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving after a police chase through Margate saw him commit a series of offences.

After speeding away from officers who had been following his vehicle in the Millmead Road area of Margate, he reached speeds of 70mph in a 30mph zone in an attempt to lose the patrol car - while also driving on the wrong side of the road and going through a red light.

A stinger was used to stop the car, driven by homeless Joseph Hernandez, 21, shortly after 8am on Sunday.
