Police appeal for photos and video of man on roof in Cliftonville, Margate

Police want anyone who took photos or video of a man on a roof in Cliftonville to contact them.

The man scaled the three-storey building in Northdown Road in the early hours of Tuesday, and did not come down for almost 24 hours.

Officers say the ongoing stand-off attracted large crowds, many of whom were taking photos and video.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Katrina Whitehead said: "While the incident was ongoing, it attracted quite a large crowd in the street and many people were taking photographs or video clips while there, either for the media or their own personal use.

"We would ask those people to contact us with any footage they may have as it could assist our investigation."

A man has since appeared in court charged with 14 offences, including making threats to kill and criminal damage.
