Mazda driver seriously ill in QEQM in Margate after crash with Ford Focus and BMW on College Road roundabout

A 60-year-old driver is seriously ill in hospital after a crash on a Margate roundabout.

Now police are appealing for witnesses after the crash at the double roundabout in College Road, Margate at around 2.10pm on March 16.

The grey Mazda MX5 was said to be approaching the roundabout when he was in a crash with two other cars - a grey Ford Focus and a silver BMW - and some safety railings.

The Mazda driver, from the Margate area, suffered serious injuries and was taken to QEQM Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

One of the other drivers, a 65-year-old man also from the Margate area, suffered minor injuries.

Anybody who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to police is asked to call the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538.
